Co-Create to Liberate: Raising Antiracist Kids Through Art

An arts-based course for adults empowering kids to create a more inclusive world

Have you ever…

Felt a pang of shame staring at the racial justice books you keep meaning to read but just never seem to get around to?

Looked up from the headlines and felt ready to do something, only to be immediately overwhelmed as to where to start?

Found yourself despairing at the ham handed ways you talk about racism with the kids in your life?

So you double down. You add a few more books to the stack. Download some podcasts. Maybe even join a local listserv or two.

But after all that, you somehow end up having the same awkward conversations with your kids after another life is lost to police violence. Or you clam up as you witness yet another microaggression in your classroom.

Maybe it’s time to try something different?

Let’s do it differently…

Are you ready to Co-Create to Liberate?

Engage the mighty power of creativity to enter into conversations of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging from a different direction. With art as our guide, we start to embody change and create lasting impact.

Imagine if engaging with the kids in our life to address racism and create cultures of belonging felt invigorating, inspiring, and joyful.

We’ve taken the core elements of our in-person workshops and adapted them into a simple, self-paced course: Co-Create to Liberate.

“This isn’t just an art class. It feels like a rumbling revolution. I was introduced to a lifestyle, a way to be in conversation with our kids about anti-racism, but not hammering with conversation! It opened my eyes to the possibility of osmosis, how art activities create an awareness, a seeing that is critical for our world for all the reasons we know. I recommend this to any people who want to be responsible humans and want deeper, sweeter, rounder connection with their children.” Molly May, Mother, Writer
