I am writing today while sitting in my studio. The garage door is open, the sun is streaming and a couple of neighbors just walked by to say hi.
Yes, Radici Studios is based out of the corner of our garage, a space that I have turned into a workshop / class space / online store warehouse, etc. Admitting that it is a studio in a garage may make it sound less fancy or real. Fancy it is not, but the blood sweat and tears behind this one-woman operation are very real.
And 2020 has been all those things. Like many of you, this year has knocked me down and pulled me up and included some of my deepest, gut-wrenching, painful moments, and some of my sweetest memories, and everything in between. And we are just 7 months in.
One thing that has helped keep me steady through it all is YOU! This community!
Over the past year I have prioritized writing and building this Radici newsletter community. I have loved hearing YOUR replies and reflections. I have gained so much from having this space to share and connect. When all feels unclear, it is so reassuring to know that people I’ve never met, in places I have never been, are resonating and connected through Radici art.
